According to digital analytics company App Annie, TikTok was the world’s most downloaded app in 2020, overthrowing Facebook Messenger.

Since 2018, Facebook-owned apps have held the top spot, and the company continues to top the chart.
It was revealed last week that TikTok is testing a new disappearing videos feature similar to Snapchat.
TikTok Stories users will be able to view content posted by accounts they follow for 24 hours before it is deleted.
