Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has stated that his company is working on a humanoid robot and that a prototype will be built sometime next year.

Tesla’s experience with automated machinery in its factories, as well as some of the hardware and software that powers the company’s Autopilot driver-assistance software, will be used to power the humanoid robot.

Musk, who has expressed concerns about artificial intelligence running amok, said the Tesla Bot is “supposed to be friendly,” but that the business is developing it on a “mechanical level” so that “you can run away from it, and most likely overpower it.” It will stand five feet and eight inches tall, weigh 125 pounds, and feature a face made of a screen. He said that the bot’s internal code name is “Optimus.”

The robots will be programmed to perform “risky, repetitive, or dull activities,” according to the company.
I think ultimately in the future, physical labour will be a choice, if you want to do it,” Musk said of the bot, which is simply called “Tesla Bot.”
