Venture for Africa, a talent network and the continent’s premier source of top tech startup recruits, has teamed up with Africa Product Peers, a community for African professionals in product, design, and technology professions, to establish a career bootcamp for mid-level professionals in Africa.
Venture for Africa (VFA) is a community that aims to facilitate the transition of top global talent into roles within the African tech startup ecosystem. Its flagship three-month fellowship programme exposes participants to the nuances of the local market, provides expert-led training tailored to key roles, and connects them with top startups that are actively seeking new hires.
The consortium co-creates its courses with entrepreneurs, offering fellows practical projects to finish, seminars given by experts in particular fields, and the chance to expedite the interview process for their ideal career after completing the learning activities.
Through the partnership with Africa Product Peers, VFA will grant access to an exclusive career bootcamp designed for professionals in their mid-career who have three to eight years of experience. With Africa Product Peers’ experience creating a prominent tech community in Kenya and VFA’s experience placing mid-senior talent and managing successful role-specific bootcamps, the session will give participants the knowledge, resources, and connections they need to succeed in the cutthroat tech industry.
“At Venture for Africa, we’re passionate about empowering professionals to thrive in the dynamic African tech ecosystem,” said Tobi Lafinhan, CEO and co-founder of Venture for Africa. “Our goal is to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity within the African startup ecosystem. This partnership enables us to broaden our scope to mid-career professionals. By merging our expertise with Africa Product Peers’ community-driven approach, we believe we can significantly influence the careers of mid-career professionals across the continent.”
