Pan-African Telecommunications Service Provider Paratus Partners with Spacecom to Enable Broadband Connectivity Services in Africa

Israeli communications company and Global satellite operator, Spacecom, announced on November 25th, their partnership agreement with African telco Paratus to provide a wide range of connectivity and broadband services using its AMOS-17 satellite.

Kallie Carlsen, Paratus South Africa managing director, in a statement, said, “AMOS-17’s unique performance and capabilities, highly flexible service architecture, combined with its central position over Africa provide an excellent solution to the growing digital needs in Africa,”.

The AMOS-17 enables connectivity across multiple countries and regions including Africa, the Middle East, Europe, India, and China.

Also, the satellite’s C-Band HTS, Ka-Band, and Ku-Band coverage enable the combination of broad regional beams and high throughput spot beams that maximize throughput and spectral efficiency.
