Digital payment fintech, Pay Central, in partnership with MasterCard, launches DigiCentral, a prepaid virtual card that enables small business owners to access a secure, quick, and cost-effective online platform to pay employee incentives and other business expenses.
The virtual cards are useful for in-store and online purchases, thereby replacing the regular plastic cards.
Physical store purchases are enabled by loading the virtual card into any Masterpass-enabled digital wallet and cardholders then scan a QR code displayed at checkout can using their phones at South African retailers and billers that accept Masterpass payments.
Online payments will involve the use of a 16-digit card number, security code, and expiry date, linked to online retail apps like Uber, Uber Eats, etc.
