Katapult, a Norwegian accelerator, has unveiled a new climate-focused vertical with the aim of assisting entrepreneurs with creative climate-related solutions.
Katapult Environment, which is supported by the Lundin Foundation, will help climate tech startups develop by offering training, technological skills, networking opportunities, and investments ranging from $150,000 to $400,000.
The 12-week completely digital program is aimed at startups seeking to avert a climate crisis in the fields of renewable energy, carbon capture, emerging data frontiers, smart cities, industry, and mobility.
Katapult will draw on its vast experience running 10 accelerator programs over the last four years, as well as the Katapult network of mentors, collaborators, impact investors, and others, to help selected startups succeed. The startups will also have access to the Lundin Foundation’s extensive network of business companies and 10 years of impact investing experience.
“90 days is a short period of time, but it is also a critical number of days in the development of a startup. We want to make sure you get everything you can out of it. Our task is to provide you with the right tools and resources to create better companies, faster,” said Katapult CEO Nina Heir, who holds the firm conviction that entrepreneurs are most successful when they focus on their actual businesses.
