The NITDA World Creativity and Innovation Day (WCID) challenge has awarded a ten million naira grant to the five startups who have emerged as winners of the challenge .
The National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, awarded N10 million as a seed fund to five innovators who won the World Creativity and Innovation Day, WCID, challenge on Wednesday in Abuja.
The five startup winners were chosen from over 800 submissions and each earned N2 million.
They were recognized for their innovative and brilliant ideas that could solve a variety of problems in various fields of human endeavor.
The five winners are as follows:
- Nwachinemere Emeka, from Ibadan, created the Kitovu Technology app, which provided farmers with market access.
- Izu Freeman from Abuja is the creator of the Capsule Company a learning App.
- Jeremiah Kuro from port Harcourt created Bliu-I Automation Limited, an automotive app.
- Muhammad Banre from Kaduna is the creator of Scholar Limited, a learning app.
- Ajiboye Mayowa from port Harcourt, who developed CBTNL.Com a learning app
Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, said that in addition to the N2 million in seed funding, each of the Start-Ups would receive commendation letters from him to enhance their Resume, and they would be included in the NITDA Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship scheme.
