The fifth season of the W initiative Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton has been launched by Access Bank Plc.
The Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton program, launched in 2019, is the first program of its kind in the sector given by Access Bank’s W Initiative.
In line with Access Bank’s mission to be the bank of choice for women in the markets and communities it serves, the W Initiative aims to inspire, connect, and empower women.
Through the Womenpreneur Pitch-a-Ton program, the Bank’s mission is to provide female entrepreneurs with the financial and business skills they need to succeed.
The initiative is made to give female-owned businesses in Africa the chance to get access to funding, top-notch business training, and mentoring opportunities.
In its first year, the program gave 50 Nigerian women business owners a free mini-MBA certification and awarded scholarships totaling N9 million to the top 3 candidates.
Since then, the program has offered Mini-MBAs to over 300 female entrepreneurs throughout Africa. The initiative, which is currently in its fifth season, aims to give 120 more Nigerian women entrepreneurs mini-MBA certifications and awards totaling more than N17 million Naira to WSMEs this year.
