CATAPULT: Inclusion Africa is excited to launch the third version of this unique Fintech startup development program, building on the success of the 2018 and 2020 editions.
The Catapult: Inclusion Africa initiative, established in collaboration with key strategic partners by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs’ Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, aims to assist selected fintech startups in growing, developing, networking, and securing funding.
The previous programs were all held in Luxembourg, but due to the global pandemic, the program has been moved online.
The program’s third edition focuses on developing and promoting financial services that can offer realistic and ground-breaking solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
The program aims to create bridges between Africa and Europe by highlighting companies that concentrate on financial inclusion in Africa.
It is very much aligned with the sustainability priorities of Luxembourg’s finance centre.
This edition will be completely virtual, in keeping with public health guidelines.
Luxembourg’s Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs is funding the initiative.
Just 15 people will be chosen to participate in the intensive bootcamp. The bootcamp will last one week, and applications will be accepted online.
The bootcamp will cover investment preparation, one-on-one mentoring, and tools for venture development and transformation.
Following the first program, a three-day Catapult: Inclusion Africa program with the winner of the May 2021 edition will take place in December 2021 at the Luxembourg Pavilion of the World Expo in Dubai.
Applications are now open until April 30, the program will be held online from May 19 to 28.
