Youtube introduced the #YouTubeBlackVoices Fund in 2020, which was created to directly support Black creators and artists on YouTube so that they could grow.
Last year, the firm unveiled its inaugural class of 133 international creators and artists. Musicians, beauty entrepreneurs, comedians, activists, poets, personal trainers, and more.
The 26 African creators that will be part of YouTube’s #YouTubeBlackVoices Fund initiative for the second year, Class of 2022, have been announced.
The fund invests in Black creators from all around the world who are telling original and real stories.
Each of the 26 African YouTubers selected for the #YouTubeBlackVoices Fund Class of 2022 will get startup financing as well as dedicated support to help them grow their channels.
They will also participate in specialized, hands-on training, workshops, and networking opportunities.
These African creators will join 108 others from around the world.
