Customers spent more than $1 billion on Visa’s cryptocurrency linked cards in the first half of this year, as the payments processor works to improve the efficiency of crypto transactions.
Customers will be able to exchange and spend digital currencies at 70 million shops around the world thanks to a partnership with 50 cryptocurrency platforms, according to the business.
The move is in line with Visa’s recent expansion of its digital currency acceptance.
The company stated in March that it would allow the USD Coin to be used to settle transactions on its payment network.
