iXperience, a Cape Town-based edtech company, has raised $2.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Kalon Venture Partners and Caleo Private Equity.
iXperience was founded in 2013 by Yale University graduates Aaron Fuchs and Rafi Khan.
iXperience is an edtech company that partners with high schools, colleges, and corporations to deliver progressive education programs and services that empower students with industry-focused skills.
“Kalon’s decision to invest was influenced by the exceptional quality of the entrepreneurs and a cutting-edge technology platform that outperforms the competition. We are enthusiastic about the investment, not just because of the possible financial returns, but also because of the company’s positive social impact in contributing to and driving the digital educational sector.”
iXperience partners with institutions to help them stay important in a changing educational and professional world, in addition to its “direct-to-consumer” programs.
In a statement announcing the funding round, Fuchs said, “The world is evolving at an exponential pace, and current educational systems are not able to keep up.”
“Our ability to develop new programs quickly is a major differentiator for us, and that is largely due to our advanced technology,” Khan added.
The company has approximately 2500 alumni and collaborates with universities and customers to fill the gap between conventional education and the skills that businesses need.
iXperience will use the funds to grow its staff, strengthen its innovative software platform, launch programs in new markets, and expand its global strategic alliances division.
