Kia has released the first official photos of its upcoming EV6 electric vehicle.
The EV6 won’t be shown in full until later this month at an online exhibition, but the latest photos at least show what it looks like.
The EV6 has a sporty crossover-inspired design and is the first vehicle to incorporate Kia’s recent “Opposites United” design philosophy, which is made up of five pillars: “Bold for Nature,” “Joy for Reason,” “Power to Progress,” “Technology for Life,” and “Tension for Serenity.”
“The EV6 is a showcase of human-centered, innovative design and electrified power, as it is the first dedicated Kia EV. In a quote, Habib says, “We firmly believe EV6 is a convincing and important model for the new EV industry.” “With EV6, we wanted to create a unique, impactful design by combining sophisticated, high-tech features on pure and rich volumes, while also providing a unique space as a futuristic EV,” says the company.
Since the Niro has gas/hybrid models as well as a newer version with an electric drivetrain, Kia describes the EV6 as its first “dedicated battery electric vehicle.”
Hyundai’s latest E-GMP architecture acts as the base for the EV6.
