20 startups to participate in the Online Seedstars World Competition for a prize of US$500,000

The 20 winners of the Online Seedstars World Competition 2020/21 (SSW) who will advance to the final stage have been announced.

Just 20 of the 94 startups will progress to the Regional Finals, where they will compete for a spot in the Grand Finale, the final round of the competition.

Just one startup will be crowned Global Champion and receive the grand prize of $500K in funding at the Finale.

The following are the startup finalists who will compete in the Grand Finale:

Africa

Flamingoo Foods (Tanzania), Ladda (Nigeria), Rohobot (Ethiopia), Sparco (Zambia), Capture Solutions (Ivory Coast)

Asia

ODESH (Papua New Guinea), Smartfuture (Singapore), Finology (Malaysia), and ELN (Pakistan)

Middle East & North Africa

Droobi (Qatar), Fulfillment Bridge (Tunisia), BiomWeb (Lebanon), Al-Mawwan (Egypt)

Central and Eastern Europe

IMAN (Uzbekistan), Alter (Russia), Payze (Georgia), and Noomee (Armenia)

Latin America

Pegasi (Venezuela), Alfi (Peru), Klouser (Argentina)

“Given how difficult and unexpected 2020 was for each of us, it was truly incredible to watch our finalists grow throughout the competition while participating in the Online Seedstars Academy and the one-month Investment Readiness Program.It’s going to be an exciting Regional Finals! ” said Eugenia Shevchenko, Lead of the Competition.

The Seedstars World Competition is held every year to identify the most promising startups in the Asia, Africa, CEE, MENA, and LATAM regions.

According to the agency, each startup will now compete in the Regional Finals for a chance to pitch at the Grand Finale and win a grand prize of USD 500K in equity investment.

The regional finals are set to air between April 12 and 16, 2021, and will feature startups competing for a place in the Grand Finale.
