2018 She Loves Tech Competition is on – Calling all Global Women Impact and Women-led Tech Startups

A global competition aimed to showcase the latest trends in technology, entrepreneurship, innovation and creates opportunities for women, She Loves Tech is here again.

The world’s largest start-up competition focused on women and technology is expected to attract over 500 women impact and women-led start-ups around the globe, where they will gain from an interconnected global network of innovators, mentors, investors, and other top tech companies.

The competition is to bring innovators and change-makers from all over the world to Beijing, China, one of the leading global hotspots for tech innovation for an opportunity to compete, innovate, and network on a global scale.

How it Works and How to Register

This year’s competition is slated to hold in 14 locations across Canada, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa and the UAE, with the East African leg to take place in Kenya.

The East Africa round of the competition – for which registration is ongoing and is co-organised by China Africa Tech Initiative and will be held on July 14 at Nairobi Garage.

The winning tech start-up will travel to Beijing, China for a boot camp on September 12-14, before the global finals on September 15. All regional winners will then undertake a tech trip of Singapore for three days.

The global winner will get a custom “Startup Booster Pack”, which consists of exclusive mentorships from leading investors and industry experts, consulting services, fast-track entry to partner programmes and media exposure.

The competition is open to start-ups looking for funding with at least a minimum viable product and any tech entrepreneur, male or female, using technology to impact women positively is invited to apply, but at least one female must be part of the founding team.

She Loves Tech is open to accepting start-ups from all industries, with a particular focus on start-ups in agri-tech, artificial intelligence and big data, B2B solutions, blockchain, consumer tech, clean energy, fintech, ed-tech, IoT, and e-health. Click here  to see how to register.
