In collaboration with Deloitte, GirlCode will host its Virtual Career Day.

In recognition of International Women’s Day, GirlCode will host a Virtual Career Day in collaboration with Deloitte on March 8th.

GirlCode, a non-profit training and development agency, developed Career Day to offer female students access to different tech companies.

This year’s theme is #ChooseToChallenge, which is also the International Women’s Day theme for 2021.

GirlCode’s career day introduces university students to its corporate partners, who will educate participants on the skills they’ll need to excel in their chosen area.

“Our engagement with GirlCode started in 2019 because we believe in the work they’re doing,” says Bonga Nyembe, Deloitte’s managing partner for responsible business and public policy.

“Digital is the way of the future, and we want girls to be able to engage in it.

This is part of our WorldClass aim to better the lives of 10 million people in Africa by providing them with the skills they need to succeed in the digital economy.

These career days help IT students learn about and explore opportunities at companies like Deloitte, as well as make important connections.”

The Deloitte Virtual Career Day is expected to attract 200 students, registration can be done here.

The registration deadline is March 4th.
