International Women’s Day to be celebrated by African Women in Tech

Three formidable tech pioneers will share their stories at the next Women in Tech Conversations virtual platform.

The session will be hosted by legal technology company LexisNexis South Africa and information technology provider Dell Technologies.

However, the virtual session will take place to commemorate International Women’s Day (IWD 2021) on Monday, March 8, 2021.

Which will take place on Zoom between 2pm and 3.15 p.m.

Also, the session will draw on the #ChooseToChallenge campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2021.

In honoring women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements.

This year’s global theme encourages the international community to counter gender bias.

The IWD 2021 aims to counter injustice by seeking out and celebrating women’s accomplishments.

Furthermore, the  IWD 2021 theme seeks to contribute to the creation of a more inclusive planet.

Noluvuyo Mpekelana, Kim Palmer, and Pebble Hlubi are three game-changers in the tech industry who will share their perspectives and insights.

Videsha Proothveerajh, CEO and Chairperson of the Board of LexisNexis South Africa, will moderate the discussion.

Also, the session which will also include Mellony Ramalho, LexisNexis South Africa’s Sales and Marketing Director, and Sabine Dedering, Dell Technologies’ Regional Sales Director.

Throughout their careers, these three thought leaders have worked to challenge assumptions in the tech industry and culture.

In addition, these leaders have built businesses that combat bias, and to advocate for a society where women celebrate other women.

Some of the topics will include; the importance of self-love, recruitment of women in tech, university mentorship, creating your own board, and reintegrating women into the workplace.
