The Catalyst Fund Inclusive FinTech Talent Program, which is run by BFA Global in partnership with the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF), has announced a new intake, with 12 internship opportunities for Fintech startups across Africa.
Successful candidates will be placed in fast-growing fintech startups, where they will be able to develop their technical skills and network while laying the groundwork for a future career in the sector.
Catalyst Fund and CCAF use the Talent Program to find skills gaps in Catalyst Fund portfolio companies that can be filled by talented juniors.
Abby Butkus, Catalyst Fund’s Program Manager and Program Lead for the Inclusive Fintech Talent Programme, explains that the internship program serves a dual purpose: it supports young and talented individuals while still assisting Catalyst Fund’s portfolio of companies.
The talent program serves as a platform to assist in the filling of skills gaps within the Catalyst Fund’s portfolio of companies.
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to work at a cutting-edge African fintech startup, network with industry leaders, improve their technical skills, and advance their careers.
Selected participants will be assigned to a fintech from the Catalyst Fund’s most recent cohort, which includes Lami, Indicina, Koa, Power, and Kandua.
These startups are currently recruiting for a number of positions, including sales, data processing, customer support, and more.
Selected applicants can engage in a paying three to six-month internship with an impact-oriented fintech startup in emerging markets, with the potential of securing a full-time position.
Interns will also receive guidance from Catalyst Fund and CCAF experts, as well as customized professional development opportunities, to gain exposure to the fast-growing fintech markets.
