Uber riders and drivers can now receive and make the right digital payments thanks to a partnership between Zeepay and Moove, a sub-Saharan car ownership company that provides convenience.

Last year, the company collaborated with Uber to provide existing and potential drivers with brand new leased vehicles. Moove has also launched in two other African nations, with plans to expand across the continent.

“Uber drivers on Moove will receive instant payments using our bulk wallet API,” said Felicity Jaforktuk, Zeepay’s mobile money product manager. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance, and we’re working hard to serve thousands of users over the next few months.”

“Enabling efficient payments from both the driver and rider perspectives constitutes an integral part of the overall Moove experience,” said Jephthah Datsomor, Moove Ghana’s Country Manager. The platform has all of the necessary features to complete end-to-end transactions while maintaining financial security for all parties involved. We chose Zeepay as a main digital payments partner for Moove’s operations in Ghana for these reasons.

“We are excited about our collaboration with Moove to provide a safe and stable payment platform to Uber users on Moove,” Dede Quarshie, Zeepay’s Chief Commercial Officer, added. We believe in financial inclusion at Zeepay, and we are working to make Ghana a cashless society by implementing digital payments.

Moove cars are equipped with transparent and Perspex partition screens to separate the driver from rear-seat passengers as part of an ongoing commitment to safety, especially in the current COVID-19 pandemic.

For riders who use Moove-powered Uber vehicles, Zeepay will provide a smooth, reliable, and robust payment platform.

Moove cars are designed to accept only digital payments, so riders can pay with their mobile money wallets.
