AIfluence, a Kenyan influencer marketing platform, has raised $1 million in seed funding.
EQ2 Ventures, Antler East Africa, Oui Capital, ArabyAds, and an unnamed European family office led the round.
“We are on the verge of a revelation,” said AIfluence CEO Nelson Aseka. The way marketing is done around the world is changing. We are at the crossroads of advanced technology and the world’s fastest-growing region in terms of digital and social media adoption. It’s a thrilling environment to be in. Africa’s great storytelling culture is still going strong.”
In today’s digital age, “people are the new media,” according to Patrick Thiriet, CEO of EQ2 Ventures, and AIfluence was perfectly positioned to turn this reality into practical results for advertisers.
AIfluence which uses advanced machine learning algorithms to match influencers with a target demographic through its audience-first strategy, was founded by Nelson Aseka (CEO), George Issaias (CMO), Lamusia Anzaya (COO), and Ankit Jindal (CTO).
By the end of 2021, the firm hopes to expand to the remainder of Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, with the new funding.
