dKilo, an Egyptian ad-tech startup, has raised US$3.2 million in a seed funding round to penetrate the Saudi Arabian market and open up a new online platform for brands to interact with customers.
Upturn Ventures, a newly established venture builder with a focus on e-commerce provided a combination of debt and equity financing for the seed round.
Mohamed Mousa and Sherif Abdelaty founded dKilo in 2020 with the goal of connecting brands with people outside of the traditional digital realm. This opens up new opportunities for e-commerce companies to boost their visibility and conversion rates.
With the new funding, dKilo plans to transform the out-of-home advertising market by bringing fresh ideas to the fore. This partnership’s combined efforts aim to change how brands interact with consumers outside of the conventional digital sphere, opening up new channels for e-commerce companies to boost visibility and conversions.
