An App for dry cleaning and laundry on demand in Egypt, Laverie has raised a six-figure funding round investment from A15,  in order to extend its operations across Greater Cairo, and then the GCC, with a new set of services.

Since its launch in 2018, the automated laundry service provider has handled over 60,000 products and amassed a customer base of over 4,000 registered users.

For added convenience, the company provides order monitoring and a variety of payment options.

Ayman Gaballah and Mohab Aloush, the founders of Laverie, have a combined 20 years of experience in software growth, market development, and digital transformation in both large corporations and small businesses. Hani Salama, the current Laverie CEO, has been running his 30-year-old family-owned laundry company with them.

According to Karim Beshara, General Partner at A15, “We’ve taken note of the Laverie team’s efforts, including how they gained early organic momentum in the markets they serve and the exceptional level of service they offer to their customers. Given our past experience investing in tech-enabled consumer startups, the startup is a perfect fit for our portfolio.”

“I am really excited about joining Laverie and having the opportunity to converge 30 years of my family-owned laundry business experience into Laverie’s revolutionary digital model, as well as the new services that will be added to our portfolio,” said Hani Salama, CEO of Laverie. With the help of our stakeholders, we hope to fine-tune a localized model that can scale in the Gulf countries in the near future.

“The digital services revolution is affecting all industries, and I see a huge opportunity and need for change and makeover in Egypt’s laundry industry. We would continue to change the industry with a capable team like Laverie’s,” Salama added.
