Odiggo, an auto tech startup with offices in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, has received a $2.2 million seed round as part of the current YC Summer batch.

The round included participation from Y Combinator, 500 Startups, and Plug and Play Ventures, as well as regional venture capitalists (VCs) such as Seedra Ventures, LoftyInc Capital, and Volta-Tucks CEO Essa Al-Saleh.

Odiggo, founded in December 2019 by Ahmed Omar and Ahmed Nasser, operates a marketplace that connects car owners with providers of services ranging from repair to washing and maintenance.
Odiggo is used by over 50,000 car owners in Egypt, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, and it works directly with over 300 merchants.

“We believe we have reached a tipping point. It is incredible that since COVID, Odiggo has grown more than tenfold in the last year,” said Ahmed Omar, co-founder of Odiggo.

According to Omar, the seed round will help the company grow while expanding its footprint across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
