Israeli cybersecurity startup Vega has secured $65 million in a combination of Seed and Series A funding, propelling its valuation to $400 million. The investment round was led by prominent venture capital firms Accel, Redpoint, Cyberstarts, and CRV.

Founded in early 2024 by Shay Sandler and Eli Rozen, both veterans of Israel’s elite intelligence unit Unit 8200, Vega aims to redefine security operations. The company has developed an AI-native security analytics and investigation platform designed to replace traditional Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools. Unlike conventional systems that centralize data, Vega’s approach analyzes data in place, offering faster results and reduced costs.

With the new funding, Vega plans to enhance Research and Development: Strengthen its technological capabilities to stay ahead in the competitive cybersecurity landscape. Expand Operations in the United States: Establish a stronger presence in its primary market to better serve clients and partners. Scale Workforce: Increase its team size to support growth and innovation efforts.

The company currently employs 63 professionals across offices in Israel and major U.S. cities, serving top-tier clients, including Fortune 20 firms and major healthcare organizations.

Vega’s emergence coincides with significant developments in the cybersecurity sector. Notably, Alphabet’s $32 billion acquisition of Israeli startup Wiz underscores the growing importance of cybersecurity innovations. Investors view Vega’s early momentum and innovative approach as indicative of its potential to become a significant player in the industry.

As Vega continues to develop its platform and expand its reach, the company is poised to challenge established cybersecurity providers by offering more efficient and cost-effective solutions. The backing from leading venture capital firms positions Vega for sustained growth and impact in the cybersecurity domain.
