Yalla Fel Sekka (YFS), an on-demand logistics service specializing in rapid delivery and dark shop management, has raised $7 million in a Series A funding round to extend its position in Egypt and beyond the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

DisruptAD, ADQ’s venture platform, led the fundraising round.

YFS, co-founded by Khashayar Mahdavi and Yasmine Abdel Karim in 2020, uses its unique, data-driven technology to give near-instant deliveries to consumers. In Egypt, the company has made two million deliveries and operates in Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Mansoura, and Tanta.

“Only 18 months after launching in a lively yet competitive sector, we are already delivering over 10,000 orders each day while being gross margin positive.” “Our gross merchandise volume is increasing at a pace of 20% per month, and we have a customer retention rate of over 90%,” Karim said.

“We’re thrilled to have DisruptAD join our initial seed investors, as we expect enormous growth and opportunity in the future.” The rapid expansion of YFS’ fleet, driver pool, micro-warehouses, and dark stores is producing a significant network effect, allowing the company to dominate immediate delivery in Egypt,” Mahdavi added.

The fresh funding will be used to extend its presence in cities across Egypt and the Middle East and North Africa area, as well as to continue to develop its network of hubs and improve productivity.

The company will work on advancing its machine learning leadership and implementing innovative overall strategies.
