Microsoft has discontinued the production of all Xbox One consoles in order to focus on its next-generation consoles.

Prior to the release of the Xbox Series X in 2020, Microsoft decided to abandon the Xbox One X and digital Xbox One S.

Microsoft released two Xbox Series X models in November 2020, seven years after the last generation was released, to capitalize on a pandemic-driven surge in consumer spending on games.

As a result of a global scarcity of semiconductor microchips, a number of corporations are seeing their products go out of production.
