The ‘Jet ZeroEmission,’ the world’s first hydrogen-powered flying boat, is set to be built and launched in Dubai.
The futuristic-looking boat, designed by L’Hydroptère, will have cutting-edge characteristics and technology and can carry up to 12 passengers at a time.
The environmentally friendly vessel generates no waves, emits no noise, and appears to ‘fly’ 80cm above the water at 35-40 mph.
“Dubai is an ideal destination for innovators and companies from around the world to develop their innovative projects and achieve their desired success,” said Alain Thébault, Founder of THE JET ZeroEmission. “That is why we have announced ‘The Jet,’ a project that I had the privilege of conceiving with the team.”
Dubai’s Renewable Energy Strategy 2050 targets the city to produce 75% of its energy needs from clean sources by 2050.
The Strategy also aspires to establish Dubai as a global hub for renewable energy and the green economy, which this new initiative perfectly complements.
The Jet promises to provide a tailored boat trip that flies silently over the world’s most beautiful seashores, rivers, and lakes.
With two fuel cells and an air conditioner, the eco-friendly technology helps cut carbon emissions.
