The second cohort of Investing in Innovation Africa (i3), a pan-African initiative for companies reimagining healthcare supply chains, is now accepting applications from industry leaders.

The i3 initiative, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and AmerisourceBergen, Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD), Microsoft, and Chemonics, is helping 60 promising early-stage and growth-stage startups with their commercialization efforts.

I3 is especially interested in choosing businesses with female leadership and those doing business in Francophone regions.

In order to support companies’ growth and impact, the program links African-led supply chain innovators with donors, business partners, and government partners.

Selected startups receive a US$50,000 award, customized investment readiness support, and targeted introductions to consumers to boost commercialization and impact.

On September 14, the startups that have been selected will be announced.

31 innovators who improved access to health products across more than 24,000 hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies in 26 African nations made up the inaugural cohort, which was chosen in September 2022.

The deadline for applications is June 26.

Visit the website to apply or for additional information.
