O7 Therapy, an Egyptian e-health business, has raised a seed round of $2.1 million to help it expand across the Middle East and offer additional product features.

Hikma Ventures led the seed round, which included C-Ventures, Lotus Ventures, and a number of angel investors.

O7 Therapy is a technology-enabled therapeutic platform with a network of bilingual psychiatrists and psychotherapists to support clients through mental health difficulties. It was founded in 2019 by Ashraf Bacheet, Ashraf Adel, and Nader Iskander.

“Everyone deserves easy, personalized, and trustworthy access to high-quality mental wellness treatments.” “This is what motivates us to do what we do,” Bacheet explained.

“While COVID-19 has hastened the adoption of digital health services, it has also contributed to an increase in mental health disorders like loneliness, stress, anxiety, burnout, and others.” “We believe O7 Therapy is well-positioned to solve some of these issues and provide consumers with a trusted platform for improved health and wellbeing,” Hamzeh Abdul-Hadi, principal at Hikma Ventures, said.

The new funding will help O7 Therapy expand throughout the Middle East, as well as allow for the development of new product features and improvements.

It will also enable the team to expand its Corporate Wellness Programs to include more companies in the region.
