Elisabeth Moreno Assumes VP and Managing Director Role at HP Africa

HP announced Elisabeth Moreno as the new Managing Director of HP Africa. She replaces David Rozzio who will move on to take a leadership role at HP in Central Europe. Moreno will be tasked with the provision of leadership and drive of profitable growth in the country. Moreno has previously held senior management roles at Orange and Shell and was recently President and General Manager of Lenovo in France.

Moreno expressed excitement about the development, saying “It is a privilege to take up this leading role at HP, a company that is as passionate about making a positive impact in the world with technology, as I am. I look forward to working with my new team on helping our customers and partners in the African region use breakthrough solutions and technologies to help them reinvent their organisations”.

She had kicked off her career in entrepreneur within the construction industry after which she made the switch to the technology sector joining the France Telecom team. In the year 2000, she became Sales Manager, French Corporate accounts at Dell and then was appointed as the EMEA Sales Director in Global Account category.

She later completed her Master’s in Business Law in 2006 and also got a European executive masters in Business Admin. Last year, 2018— she was Cape Verde’s entrepreneur of the year.

This is coming just days after Microsoft South Africa appointed Lillian Barnard as their Managing Director after Zoaib Hoosen resigned his position of 5 years.
