Andela’s Co-founder and President Christiana Sass, has stepped down to assume the role as the chairperson of the Andela Advisory Council and the Andela Alumni group.

Christiana Sass, who holds a degree in Ancient Philosophy from the University of Georgia, co-founded Andela alongside five other people in 2014. The company achieved a lot during her five and a half years of leadership in the company. The company has grown to a workforce of over 1000, with operations in Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.
The African company that identifies and develops software developers, has raised a total sum of $181 Million since its inception. It was named the ‘Best Company to Work for in Africa’ at the Great Place to Work Awards. They received ‘The Best Place to Work in Nigeria for 2018’ by Jobberman and was tagged amongst the 25 technology companies to watch by The Wall Street Journal in 2018.
Christiana Saas in an official statement, said that she feels immense joy when she reflects on what the company has accomplished since 2014. It is also pleasing to think of the bright future that lies ahead for the company and its team. She finds her time at Andela as the most uplifting, meaningful, fun, and profound experience of her life.
