Applications are ongoing for the 2019/2020 edition of the Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation. Ambitious and talented engineers from Sub-Saharan Africa are encouraged to apply.
The applicants are expected to develop scalable solutions to meet local challenges that improve the quality of life and contributes to economic development. After selection, shortlisted applicants will pass through an eight-month period of training and mentorship. Finalist will pitch in the grand ceremony, selected winner goes home with £25,000 along with three runners-up, awarded £10,000 each.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be an individual or a small group
Only citizens of Sub-Saharan countries can apply
The engineering innovation must be based in a Sub-Saharan country
Only scalable solutions in agricultural technology, biotechnology, chemical engineering, civil engineering, ICT, material science, mechanical engineering, and medical engineering.
All applications must be submitted online before 4 pm on the 22nd of June, 2019.
