Caketunes is an online African beat/music distribution and production startup for artiste and music producers, on Caketunes producers can sign up as merchants and upload their beats which could take 48-78 hours to get approved and appear on the platform. Artiste can also visit and sign up to the Caketunes to upload their songs and in the same process find a beat suitable for their next hit song. The online beat marketplace has developed an advanced algorithm to help artists sort beats using the select a genre feature, including a system that auto detects a user’s taste for beats and in return brings it closer to them on a timeline feature.

Aspiring artiste who are not dramatically buoyant financially can hire Caketunes for a quality music production project as per; custom beat, mixing and mastering, and song writing using the platform’s ordering feature. In addition, the entirety of Caketunes service is as free as nothing in comparison with other existing platforms in the world who charge nearly or more than $30-50 for just mp3 and wav. On Caketunes, beats are instantly delivered in trackout (raw file) after purchase for some really affordable fee of 10,000 Naira ($28), which in any way does not affect the customer’s freedom in using the beat as long as he/she wills.

Another feature on the platform is ‘Discover music’, a feature that enables music listeners discover amazing music and search for beats respectively.

If you are wondering how artistes gets paid, well it’s simple. Caketunes charges 30% for every beat sales on its platform and 50% for production contract which is matched with a qualified producer. The platform tries as much as possible to be reliable and trustworthy to its customers and merchant producers at all cost.

As a startup, Caketunes opts solely for African related beats and its competitive advantage lies in its target markets, such as Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda. Also, its affordability and focus on satisfaction makes it a top choice in the online beat marketplace in Africa.

Lastly, the team comprises of dedicated artistes, producers and software engineers who understand what it means to be an artiste/producer, as well as participating in the African music space. Team members are: Ability Elijah – Cofounder/CEO, Light Nduka – Cofounder/Brand Developer, Williams Okie – Customer Relations, Obinna Somto – Sound Engineer, Damilola Ezekiel – Software Engineer and Easyway – Head of Artiste.
