Coderina Education and Technology Foundation has partnered with Google to coach over 3000 youths through the Google CSFirst Code Club. It plans to achieve this by introducing the Code Club to over 100 schools and community centres across Nigeria.
Coderina Education and Technology Foundation would be providing technical and vocational training to teachers in the area of ICT using Creative thinking techniques. On the other hand, Googles CSFirst Code Club will provide free, easy-to-use computer science enrichment materials that engage a diverse student population in grades 4-8 (ages 9-14).

The CSFirst curriculum focuses on programming language, and Scratch from MIT. This curriculum helps in equipping kids and youths with 21st-century coding skills, problem-solving, critical thinking and creativity skills. This, in return, empowers them to contribute to the development of their community. The basis of the curriculum is on real-life and practical themes that cut across Sports, Fashion, Game Design, Storytelling, and Music.
According to the Director of Coderina, Mr Akinniyi Obaide said that youths between the ages of 9-16 years will be able to participate. These cuts across secondary and technical school students. These participants will be trained from community centres, libraries, and youth camps.
Google’s 2019 CSFirst Code Club, will be rolled out in Nigeria, South Africa, and Kenya simultaneously.
