Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) are the bedrock of innovation. Educating students in STEM foster technological development in society. A good example is the Nigerian girls from Anambra State, who won the Technovation World Pitch in the US last year. The girls built a mobile app that determines the genuineness of drugs.
These “Save a Soul” girls were trained at the Edufun Technik STEM center in Anambra State. The team challenged students from Spain, USA, Turkey, and China – out of over 2000 apps submitted for the 2018 Technovation competition.

Ebonyi Transparency Accountability Network saw the need to expose students and teachers to the modern day STEM curriculum. They trained 100 students and teachers selected across senatorial zones in the state. The introduction of the educational program to schools is part of ETAN’s Corporate Social Responsibility. They also organize essay competitions in the State.
ETAN partnered with US-based HOPAS Foundation to introduce STEM in Ebonyi State. They intend to infuse STEM into the school’s curriculum. They will ensure that students from the State are able to compete with counterparts from other parts of the country.
Ebonyi Transparency Accountability Network (ETAN) is a group of 200 professionals from Ebonyi State, located in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria. They ensure good governance, transparency, and accountability in public offices.
