Angolan ed-tech startup Educartis has partnered leading Kenyan job board platform BrighterMonday to launch educational service BrighterMonday Learning.

Launched in Angola in 2016, Educartis was spun out of job classifieds portal Jobartis and is a resource for education information that serves more than 50,000 users taking short courses.

The startup also has a commercial team in Kenya, and has now partnered BrighterMonday to launch BrighterMonday Learning. The aim of the platform is to equip the 600,000 registered job seekers on the platform with information on higher and continuing education courses and education providers.

Job seekers wishing to advance their career by pursuing further education can easily browse through the platform and gain information on curriculums offered by various institutions in the country. The portal provides quick, user-friendly access to information on schools, courses and jobs.

Educartis chief executive officer Farah Mulji said adapting to changes in the workplace to include technological advancements is key to economic development.

“Kenya is one of the youngest and fastest growing economies in the Sub-Saharan region, with a rapidly growing population and expanding labour force. As a result, the demand for education is becoming increasingly important to improve careers and acquire better jobs,” he said.

The offering on Educartis is not limited to job seekers registered on BrighterMonday platform.

“We want to set quality standards in the industry, create transparency in the education and job markets and increase employability. By leveraging the power of the internet in Kenya, we can help Kenyans keep up with change and build a better workforce and economy together and faster,” said BrighterMonday CEO Emmanuel Mutuma.
