Farmcrowdy Group— Nigeria’s foremost agritech company has unveiled Crowdyvest. The company unveiled the impact-driven platform which connects individuals to multiple sponsorship opportunities, in an event held on the 27th of July 2019, at Glitz Events Center Lagos, Nigeria.
Crowdyvest aims to provide impact-driven opportunities for sponsors to increase their finances and contribute to economic growth. The platform grants sponsor access to sponsorship opportunities that align with the seventeen United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals span across Agriculture and other impact-driven platforms. It aims to create a wider opportunity for economic growth and build a system that will cut across Nigeria and Africa.
Farmcrowdy Group will leverage the new platform to migrate all of its existing sponsors to Crowdyvest. This will enhance a smooth transition without the need for the existing sponsors to create a fresh account. Also, new sponsors will have the opportunity to sign up to the platform for free. Crowdyvest will allow all sponsors to conveniently sponsor farms on the Farmcrowdy platform, and other portfolio products which will be launched in the future.

According to Onyeka Akumah the Chairman of Farmcrowdy Group and founder/CEO of Crowdyvest, “We have been able to successfully implement a business model in one of the most challenging sectors in the world, driving growth in Agriculture (Food and Security). With our model, we have connected over 25,000 farmers with access to funding, technical expertise and market access by continuously creating value for them and we now intend to implement this across other sectors of the economy while having a direct impact on the achievement of the United Nation’s SDGs.”
Kenneth Obiajulu, the Managing Director of Farmcrowdy said leading Farmgate Africa has been an amazing opportunity for him and that he has been able to achieve much success in a short period of time. He plans to combine the traction from Farmcrowdy and Farmgate Africa to build a more robust platform that will cut across the African agricultural value chain.
The huge difference between Crowdyvest and other investment platforms is the fact that it shares its sponsorship risk with its sponsors. In essence, Crowdyvest and its sponsor’s monies are used to grow the businesses of the opportunities listed on the platform.
