flyEgypt — an Egyptian low-cost and charter airline headquartered in Cairo has chosen PAYFORT to offer more payment options and also enhance booking experience for its passengers. PAYFORT is the fintech arm of global eCommerce platform Amazon.

PAYFORT announced this latest development via their platform on the 3rd of September 2019. flyEgypt will leverage PAYFORT’s payment services to scale its business, foster expansion and innovation. They will also leverage the service to boost customers payment experiences. With PAYFORT’s solution, flyEgypt passengers will have access to make payments with globally accepted credit and debit cards.

Captain Ihab El Tahtawi, CEO at flyEgypt said their biggest challenge is the fact that passengers do not have an explicit understanding of their local and regional low-cost carrier/hybrid business model. He noted that they decided to work with PAYFORT in a bid to tackle this problem.

He stated that the need for them to have a reliable payment services provider became imperative with their consistent growth. This partner will widen the range of payment channels online for customers and keep the process seamless.
