Ten Startups have been selected from the UAE and Africa to join the Global Business Forum (GBF) Mentorship Program. The selection is to aid create cross-border cooperation between Africa and the UAE. The 10 selected startups will participate in the 5th Global Business Forum on Africa in November 2019. They will also have the opportunity of exhibiting during the high-level business forum in Dubai.
The 10 selected startups participated earlier in the year, at the first Chamberthon which took place in Kigali, Rwanda, alongside 10 others. The 20 initial startups, worked together to build the structure and criteria of the GBF Mentorship Program.

According to H.E. Hamad Buamim, President & CEO of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Startups are playing an active role in promoting innovation, considering they leverage cutting-edge technologies that improve the way we live and work. He said the GBF Mentorship Program will provide an ideal platform for startups to develop their business concepts, collaborate and access new growth opportunities.
The five selected African startups include;
FarmGate Africa—a startup that leverages advanced technology to connect international buyers and farming clusters,
Quip.link—an online marketplace that is for renting and selling construction equipment,
Complete Farmer—a digital crowd farming platform that focuses on boosting sustainable farms,
Engineering Hub Ltd—an IT services and solutions provider for mobile and banking integration platforms,
RideSafe—a mobile application that offers real-time health solutions.
The five selected UAE startups include;
Evolvin Women– a startup that helps unemployed women from developing countries,
ORENDA+Bloom– a gender balance consultancy,
Tuitify– a startup that uses AI and virtual reality to improve employee training and productivity,
Designhubz– a Software as a Service platform that enables retailers and brands to sell their products in 3D,
Pixel House– a production agency offering video production, photography and branding solutions.
