Kenyan, South African & Nigerian Healthtech Startups to Apply for TeXchange 2020

The UK South Africa Tech Hub invites health-tech startups to participate in ‘TeXchange 2020: Healthcare Innovation’. African startups from Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria are expected to apply, alongside Indian startups.

TeXchange is a flagship program of the UK-Israel Tech Hub that opens the UK market to healthcare startups. Since 2013, the program has brought together several fintechs, retails, cybersecurity and smart city-focused startups from Israel and the UK into partnership.

In 2020, the program will focus on technologies in the healthcare sector. The three-day program will focus on big data in healthcare, early detection of diseases, population health, telemedicine, and diagnostics.

TeXchange 2020 is aimed at building an International Tech Hub Network to support forward-thinking entrepreneurship across the globe. It also aims to stimulate digital economies and facilitate innovative partnerships between local tech startups and international businesses. It has a lineup of keynotes, activities, and presentations that will grant local healthtech startups direct access to top healthcare corporations and government agencies in the UK.

Some of the partner companies for TeXchange 2020 include NHSX, Axa Insurance, Boots, LSX, Pfizer, Centrica, and AstraZeneca. One startup will be selected from each country at the end of the program slated to hold in February 2020 at Cape Town, South Africa. Applications are open until the 11th of October 2019. Interested?
