KnowBe4 Partners Cyber Security Africa to Scale Global Expansion

KnowBe4, a cybersecurity training company

KnowBe4, a cybersecurity training company, has partnered with Cyber Security Africa to upscale its global expansion. The partnership was announced earlier this week.

Cybersecurity is a major threat to the global economy and has led to the downfall of a lot of companies. A report by Comparitech explains that the frequency of cyberattacks this year will be 78%, compared to the 70.5% recorded in 2015.

Meanwhile, during the World Economic Forum held in CapeTown, the business owners in Africa also flagged cybersecurity as the biggest threat to successful operations. The report noted that 94% of companies in Africa and the Middle East experience cyberattacks. It was these attacks that spurred the KnowBe4 partnership with Cyber Security Africa.

The partnership will make the duo provide local support and training to end-users and to minimize cyber risk.

The training will educate employees on how to spot threats like phishing, social engineering, and general information security.

The Managing Director of KnowBe4 Africa, Anna Collard said that the firm believes in securing human firewalls as well as the creation of a security-conscious culture in this digital age.

She further noted that the human factor is important to the security of any organization. Thus, training employees will fortify companies from cyberattacks and save them time and money spent on resolving these issues.
