Exactly one year after the opening of the Mara phone manufacturing facility and first in South Africa, Soweto welcomes the company’s first experience store at the Maponya Mall in the Klipspruit district.
The expansion moves are in line with the company plans to establish 50 Mara experience stores before the end of 2022.
The company says that the launch of the two facilities within the short span of time “represents bold steps for Africa’s most established home-grown smartphone brand in a challenging but promising environment”.
Sylvester Taku, Head of Growth at Mara Phones South Africa says “The launch of the first Mara Experience Store cements our commitment to expand our retail footprint in South Africa and to make it easier for customers to experience and purchase our smartphones”.
Mara’s experience stores will enable customers to experience Mara’s phone software and physical features while also interacting with technical support staff within their community.
The experience stores will also stock up on the latest Mara Phone devices and accessories to complement their end-user experience.
