Namibia-based LEFA Partners PayToday to offer Ride-Hailing Payment Solutions

LEFA, a mobile on-demand ride-hailing startup based in Namibia has partnered with PayToday, a mobile payment solutions provider. The ride-hailing startup aims to leverage this partnership to offer its users ride-hailing payment solutions via the PayToday app. Also, riders will be able to book LEFA rides from the PayToday app. 

LEFA connects users with cab drivers within the Windhoek area of Namibia. The startup was launched in 2018 to help disrupt the Namibian transportation system. This partnership with PayToday will help it offer seamless services to its users and as well, promote financial inclusion.

According to Melkies Ausiku, Founder and Managing Director of LEFA, LEFA is a safe and convenient way for users to get to their destinations. He said they offer services to over 2000 people per month. Noting that the partnership will help deepen their offerings with a technology backed transport experience. Melkies said cashless payments are the future across the world and PayToday is helping them to achieve this in Namibia. 

Chris Botha of PayToday Namibia stated that they are proud of the partnership with LEFA who also shares their passion for technology and innovation. As the foremost mobile payment provider in Namibia, the partnership aligns with their vision of seamless payments. Both LEFA and PayToday’s mobile apps are available for download on the Google Play and App Store.
