Oracle has appointed David Bunei as the new Managing Director of its Kenya operations. As the new MD, David will be in charge of helping Kenyan public and private sector organizations achieve strategic objectives through digital transformation via Oracle Cloud.
The MD has experience in IT and Telecommunications. He has held several leadership roles with top organizations. David was the General Manager at Cisco Systems before he joined Oracle. While at Cisco, he was in charge of businesses across East Africa and Indian Ocean Islands for four years.

According to Andrew Sordam, Vice President & Regional Managing Director Africa at Oracle, David Bunei is a good choice for Oracle. He said David has demonstrated a shared commitment to Kenya, as well as a focus on placing customer needs first. He revealed that they are confident that under David’s leadership, Oracle will reinforce its status as a digital business solutions vendor of choice.
David Bunei said he is excited; in his own words “I’m excited for the next chapter of my professional life at Oracle.” He said it’s an opportunity to bring more companies on-board Oracles offerings.
Oracle is present in Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Algeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Mauritius and Senegal. They have been in Africa for 30 years.
