Payfort, a subsidiary of Amazon has partnered with DHL Express to facilitate its online shipment payments in North Africa. The partnership was announced on Tuesday the 10th of December 2019.

Customers will use Payfort’s cards to process payments in local currencies for shipments ordered via DHL Express. This will provide a more secure payment gateway that will protect against online fraudulent activities. The partnership will provide a faster, seamless and secure logistics process for customers. It will also make it easier for customers to take local businesses to the global community.

According to Omar Soudodi, the Managing Director of Payfort, “Payfort is delighted to announce this partnership with DHL. This will help consumers and businesses across the MENA region pay for e-commerce services in their local currency.”

Amazon’s Payfort offers more convenient methods to pay and book for services, including the payment with local debit cards. Cashless payments provide more security and faster transaction for businesses.

The partnership covers eight countries across the Middle East and North Africa. This includes Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. It will be available to thousands of customers that patronize DHL shipments across both regions.
