The Wealth and Society West Africa Award, an Asian Banker West African regional award has announced Odunayo Eweniyi, the Co-Founder and COO of PiggyVest as the 2019 SME Entrepreneur of the Year.
The Wealth and Society West Africa Award is an event that recognizes individuals or institutions that impact their locale. The 2019 edition of the award was held in Lagos. Odunayo received the award based on her outstanding role towards the growth of fintechs in recent years.
Odunayo Eweniyi is the co-founder of PiggyVest. Formerly known as PiggyBank was founded in 2016 by Odunayo and three others. The platform, in a bid to encourage the saving culture amongst youths in Nigeria developed an online saving platform that allows its users to seamlessly transfer from their bank
The Wealth and Society Awards Program recognizes high and ultra-high net-worth individuals who deploy their wealth in ways to bring positive change to the society they operate in, and the institutions and providers that enable them do so. Each award category is evaluated at both the global and country level.
