Rwanda’s SafeMotos Rebrands to CanGo and Launches in Congo

SafeMotos, one of the growing on-demand ride-hailing motorcyclists in Kigali has rebranded to CanGo. They also officially launched in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of Congo to gain more market grounds.

The CEO and Co-founder, Barrett Nash revealed plans to soon launch FoodGo, AlcoholGo and more in an interview with TechMoran. He said that CanGo is a more mature brand compared to SafeMotos which wrongfully depicted slow and expensive.

 SafeMotos have been doing a lot to cater to drivers through the SafeMotos Institute, an avenue for empowerment. The initiative trained a cohort of female drivers in Kigali and plans to open a driving school in Kinshasa.

The online ride-hailing service was founded by Barrett Nash and Peter Kariuki in 2015. Kinshasa happens to be the third largest city in Africa with over 14 million people and some of the most challenging transportation problems in Africa. CanGo is positioned to make use of its first-mover advantage to revamp the transport sector in Kinshasa.
