Safaricom’s subsidiary Blaze has launched a Udemy-like platform tagged ‘BLAZE LINK’. Th e-platform enables young people learn new skills through online courses for free. The platform utilizes digital means to empower young people who are on the pursuit of success. Nice imitative!

We have news that Netflix has recently witnessed a drop in the number of its subscribers. The on-demand video screening giant went through ratings hell on the 17th of July 2019, with a loss of $126,000 streaming customers in the second quarter of 2019. The competition is getting tougher!

Instagram has announced a change to its account disabling policy. The social networking app noted that it will notify its users of possible ban of their accounts before it actually takes place. Users will now be in the know as to why their account was disabled.

Also, MTN Group has announced the appointment of Yolanda Cuba as the new Group Chief Digital and Fintech Officer. She will be joining MTN Group from Vodacom, where she served as Chief Officer of Strategy and M&A. As the Chief Digital and Fintech Officer, she will play a major role in leading the Group to achieve its strategic expansion vision. Women are stepping forward!

Finally, Konga—Nigerian e-commerce platform, has revealed that they are an organization set on succeeding. They achieved over 800% turnover, with a huge loss reduction in the last 18 months.
