TanzDevs is a Tanzanian startup that was launched last year. The startup has developed a mobile platform for the Android called Smart Darasa. Smart Darasa gives users the ability to enhance normal books to make them interactive through video animation and 3D objects.

The startup focuses on making specialized books for use by the platform exclusively. The images and diagrams in the books can be scanned by their mobile app and projected in the form of interactive images and videos.

The current target market for this product are primarily those in primary school. The company not only makes money from the use of its app, but also through the selling of their books. The startup plans to add a subscription option eventually to app.

Elias Elisante, the co-founder and CEO of TanzDevs, says that the app has helped to increase the engagement of students in the learning process. The means that has been supplied is also cost-efficient and easy to use.

With its reaches extending through even the more remote areas, Smart Darasa provides to quality education to many. Considering the short attention spans of younger ages, this interactive app will surely accel even further in popularity with its new, interactive approach to learning.

TanzDevs is self-funded thus far. Despite this fact, the startup is actively seeking out potential partners to help accelerate the impact of their innovative, new means of teaching.

Their product has received positive feedback from local schools ever since they have entered the market with their product.

The startup offers more services besides the development of mobile apps including website development, graphics design, and computer repair and maintenance.
