The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) has open applications for the Women in Green Energy Ventures Accelerator Programme.
The programme will give female-run green startups access to funding, mentorship and resources.
The programme emanates from the Enterprise Creation for Women-Owned Enterprises in Green Energy.
However, the initiative was introduced in 2020 by The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum in collaboration with the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF).
Initially, the programme will be introduced in Malawi and Nigeria.
AWIEF is seeking 10 women-owned or women-led companies engaged in renewable and green energy production or service.
Selected applicants will receive personalized support and preparation for scaling.
Also, they will receive one-on-one professional mentoring and coaching.
As well as concrete options to raise capital.
And most importantly, they will get access to networks, partners and investors for development.
Who is qualified to apply?
Firstly, Women founders or leaders of scalable renewable and green energy companies
In addition, company must be licensed and operating in either Malawi or Nigeria
Company is post-revenue and running for not less than two (2) years
More importantly, company must be searching for ways to boost growth capital
More-also, the company must be dynamic and ready to go to the next level
The programme will take place over a span of eight weeks from March 15.
